Martin C. Comella, DMD, FACP

Dr. Martin C. Comella has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years and regularly attends continuing education courses to stay on top of the latest technology. He retired from the US Army at Fort Gordon as a dental commander from the Area Dental Lab in 1991. After retirement, he took a job at the VA Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. After the hussle and bussle of the California lifestyle, Dr. Comella and his family knew that Augusta, Georgia was home. They ended up moving back to Augusta and opened up his dental practice. Dr. Comella is what we call "an Army Brat". He received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1965 from University of California, Santa Barbara and Doctorate at the University of Puerto Rico at the School of Dentistry in 1969. He served in the United States Army Dental Corps from 1969 to 1991 and has been in private practice since then. As a professor of dentistry for the US Army, he has had the opportunity to travel the world as a lecturer and teacher. He has trained hundreds of dental students worldwide. Dr. Comella and his wife Edmee, have four children and 10 grandchildren. They reside in Martinez,GA.
